Facing the '80s Again

Big hair, big shoulder pads, collars up at attention - the 80's are captured forever in all their majesty in the pages of high school year books. These treasured memories/humiliating fashion moments can now be yours in Foxmachine's Yearbook Billfold.  Just pray your own photo isn't gracing someone's back pocket as we speak... ($12)

Treat the earth well with EatWare

EATware is a new line of paper plates and containers that apparently will completely decompose in landfills within 180 days, or within 2 days if submersed in water. Products are made from all natural and biodegradable plant fibers such as bamboo and sugar cane. They even claim their manufacturing process creates zero emissions and zero waste. Right now, they seem to be just for the food industry - spread the word!

A New Turn on Wooden Vases

Sarah Thirlwell breathes new life into traditional wood-turning with these gorgeous vases. Light shining through the lucite wedge gives the organic shape an exceptional, almost magical glow.

Ceramic Knitware

UK ceramacist Annette Bugansky combines her passions for fashion, textile and pottery in an amazing collection of knitted texture porcelain vases. These hand-produced pieces of fine porcelain give a spot-on impression of your favorite, softest knit cardigan - in the very best sense.

What'll Ya Have with That?

Over 93% of Americans have pizza at least once a month - and those millions of pizza pies have finally met their perfect match. Pizza Vino is out to win the heart of every pizza lover, whether deep dish or ultra thin, with wines blended specifically to drink with pizza. Their pinot noir and cabernet sauvignon are unabashedly "fruit forward" rather than oakey, ready to take on the sauces, cheeses and meats of any 'za.  And for once, a cheesy label is the perfect design!

Vroom Vroom

Who says kids' toys must be hi-tech or come with multi-changeable-super-ejecting parts (not to mention in blaringly loud primary colors)?  We're betting kids wil have hours of fun with their imagination and a lovely "Swedish Design Classic" Streamliner car by Playsam. Dad wishes his car's wax job was this glossy!

Cozy Candlelight

Designer Jeremy Walton has been inspired by matchboxes since moving to Denmark. "The use of candles is an essential ingredient for what in Danish is called 'Hyggeligt' - cosy togetherness perfected by Scandinavians." So, to ensure no candle goes un-lit, Jeremy cast his rectangular candles with a built-in matchbook. Doesn't get any more Hyggeligt than that.

Hanging Bookshelf

Looooooove it. Unal & Boler Studios of Turkey have blown away all common conceptions of the book+shelf equation. Who ever said a shelf was mandatory? Try a series of stainless steel hangers!

Stunning coat rack

If there was an extra $350 in the budget for a coat rack, this is definitely the one we'd choose. The nickel-plated, satin-polished steel Cornstalk coatrack by designer Richard Goloveyko for Veyko is simple, sculptural and stunning in any setting, home or office. sigh.

Breezy Summer Chairs

Adirondack chairs just somehow capture all that is summertime.  Archie's Island chairs offer a slightly modern twist on this traditional favorite by slathering them in bright, happy hues like Pineapple, Periwinkle, and Bonfire that stay put (a coat of hard-shell boat enamel means no annual scrape/repaint!) Even better, he uses environmentally harvested mahogany.
